| SITE/ASA JOINT MEMBERSHIP MEETING IN MARCH The American Subcontractors Association (ASA) Midwest Council and SITE Improvement Association will hold a joint general membership meeting in March. Dr. Tom Hill will be our speaker. Dr. Hill was a very successful businessman and is the co-author of Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneur’s Soul. He will share his story and what he learned in becoming what he is today.
The membership meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 14 at Spazio's in Westport. Cocktails will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m.

 | CELL PHONE RESTRICTION SEMINAR The Federal Department of Transportation has issued new restrictions to the use of cell phones while operating commercial motor vehicles. The Council of Construction Employers is sponsoring a seminar to better understand the regulations, when the regulations apply, which vehicles fall under the rule, and what the penalties are for a violation.

| Dr. Charles Schmitz to speak at SITE's February 8, 2012 General Membership Meeting Our speaker for SITE's February 8, 2012 General Membership Meeting, Dr. Charles Schmitz, is the Co-Founder of the organization Saint Louis is a World Class City. The Mission of St. Louis is a World Class City is to lay the foundation for St. Louis County to extend its boundaries to include St. Louis City no later than the 250th Anniversary of the City in 2014, and thus become the 92nd municipality in St. Louis County.

Due to the impact of the lengthy economic downturn in our industry and overall, Schaefer-Meyer Grading Div., Inc. has come to a difficult, but judicious business decision. A major fleet reduction of equipment will be done and handled by Ritchie Bros Auctioneers on Fri., December 16, 2011. However, to clarify, Schaefer-Meyer Grading will indefinitely remain open and will review bid invites as determined. | NOTICE OF INTENDED SALE & NOTICE OF RIGHTS According to Missouri Law, the owner of the residential property is required to record a notice of intended sale in the office of the Recorder of Deeds no later than 45 days prior to the intended sale date. All subcontractors/ suppliers are required to file their notice of rights at least five days prior to the sale date in order to preserve their lien rights.
