Millstone Bangert Crew Rescues Woman and 1 Year Old Son

On July 22nd, a Desoto woman was traveling on northbound Interstate-55 near Barnhart, MO in Jefferson County when her vehicle stuck a construction vehicle parked in a closed lane of the highway.  Randy Clandenny, Richard Boyd, and others on the construction paving crew noticed the vehicle that collided with the construction truck had caught on fire.  Having crossed the interstate to reach the vehicle, the construction workers helped the woman out of her vehicle.  When the woman screamed that her child was still in the car, Mr. Boyd then was able to take the car seat, with the child still strapped in, out of the vehicle.  The rest of the construction crew then assisted in putting out the fire.  A news article on the rescue was featured on FOX 2 News.  During his interview, Mr. Boyd emphasized the need to slow down and to use extra caution while traveling in work zones.  "We want to get home safe to our families as well."  For the news story from Fox 2 News, click on READ MORE
